Sam, a busy professional and mum of two young children, reached out to me for help to refresh her living space in a way that felt personal and timeless. She loved some of her furniture, but lacked the time and confidence to pull together a cohesive look. Sam wanted to integrate her existing furniture while introducing new pieces including a feature wall, curtains, couches, occasional chairs and a rug.
The Challenge
Sam was time poor, juggling work and family left her little headspace for redesigning her home. She wanted to avoid making costly mistakes when choosing furniture and decor, so needed an overall plan without the stress of tackling the process alone. A Revitalized Space: Sam’s new lounge design has a coherency and style that feels completely personal - since every item was chosen by Sam (I just steered her in the right direction to ensure a cohesive and balanced end result). We have incorporated pieces Sam already owned and loves, and I recommended furniture colours and accessories that complimented these existing pieces.
2. Smart savings: We chose to reupholster Sam’s existing lounge suite, avoiding unnecessary time and expense finding a new one. This is a great option for her family as we were able to choose a fabric that would be durable and withstand the everyday knocks of family life.
